CHICAGO (October 13, 2022) – The Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) announced its 2023 Next Gen Series schedule today, revealing three tour stops on its annual calendar.

The first APP Next Gen Series event of 2023 will take place February 17-19 in San Antonio; the second will be held July 7-9 in Kansas City, Kansas; and the final event on the calendar will be November 17-19 in Dallas.

The APP Next Gen Series aims to develop the next generation of pickleball professionals through unique three-day events for players aged 16-23. Throughout the events players compete in tournament-style brackets, receive coaching and mentorship from senior professionals, and attend educational seminars to prepare for a pickleball career.

“The APP Next Gen Series is an important part of who we are,” said APP Founder Ken Herrmann. “We take so much pride in developing the next generation of pickleball champions. They are the future of the sport – and the opportunity to not just gain experience playing in tournaments but also receive mentorship from our senior pros is incredibly valuable and a one-of-a-kind experience.”

Chicken N Pickle returns as the host venue for each event. The innovative indoor/outdoor entertainment complex includes numerous dedicated pickleball courts, spectator seating, a casual, chef-driven restaurant, a sports bar, and a variety of yard games throughout the facility.
